Art Journals
If your daughter enjoys her first taster session and decides to join us full-time (we hope she will), she will receive her very own Art Journal to keep and bring in to the club each week.
What is the art journal for?
Think of it as a little creative diary, a place for your child to record all their crafting adventures, whether they're working on a project at home, celebrating holidays, or simply reflecting on their time at the club! Here's how we'll use it:
✨ About me page: We'll kick things off with a fun 'about me' page so the kids can introduce themselves and their artistic interests.
✨ Crafting Reflections : Your child can jot down thoughts about the crafting projects they've worked on both at home and in class
✨ Club Mascot Adventures: The children will take turns taking home our club mascot, and they can write about their experiences with it in their journal!
✨ Moodboards and creative pages: During some classes, we'll be creating moodboards, or adding stickers, awards and other fun things to the journal.
✨ Important Dates & Information: Inside the front cover you'll have a little contact details card, and our club rules. Also if we have any upcoming important events or details, i'll add these in.
✨ Dedicated Journal time: At the end of each class, we'll set aside time for the children to reflect on what they've learnt, and add to their journal. Its a lovely way to wrap up the session, encourage writing, and capture their creative journey.
A Special Keepsake
We hope the art journal will be a special keepsake that your child can look back on for years to come, full of memories from their time at the club. It's not only a place to capture creativity and friendships but also to reflect on their growth as artists.
A Few Things To Remember:
❗ Please don't over fill the journal at home - we want to make sure there's plenty of space to use during our classes too.
❗ Bring it every week - We'll be using it in every session, so it's important to remember to bring it along. If it is forgotten one week, we can use some paper and it can be stuck in next time.
We can't wait to see how your child uses their journal to create, reflect and grow in their crafting journey with us!
