Why Tildabelles is an All-Girls Craft Club

I know some may be disappointed that Tildabelles is a girls-only club, so I wanted to share a little more about why I made this decision.

The type of crafts we do require focus, patience, and time to sit and create without distractions. From my experience running mixed-gender craft clubs, I found it challenging to cater to both boys' and girls' interests in a way that worked for everyone. While some boys (and girls!) love crafting, an hour-long session of seated, detailed work isn’t ideal for all children, especially when they’d prefer more active sessions.

Tildabelles is a fixed group designed for girls who truly love crafting and enjoy this kind of creative, relaxed environment. That said, I also understand the importance of providing opportunities for all children to explore their creativity! I’m currently looking into running termly after-school clubs in schools, which will be open to both boys and girls.

If your child is interested in crafting but doesn’t fit into this specific group, you’re always welcome at one of my workshops, which are open to everyone!
